Argentinian steer prices have seen a significant increase of 28% in pesos or 22% in dollars over the past month, making it the most expensive in the region. Brazilian fat steer prices also increased by 14 cents in a week, due to a revaluation of the currency against the dollar and an appreciation in reais. Paraguayan EU-compliant steer prices also rose slightly. Uruguayan export-type steer prices remained stable. The Argentinian steer price is 17% higher than the weighted average of its neighbors. In the US, the price of steer remained steady, while in Europe it increased by 7 cents due to a higher internal price. Australia is expected to publish its steer prices for February 1st.
