The bean raw material production zones created through this project are in 5 locations, with a cumulative area of 100 hectares. The beans produced here are distributed through nearby handmade yanggaeng specialty stores and bakeries. In particular, Gumi County in Daegu has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Gyeongju Hwangnam Bakery, resulting in the consumption of 20 tons of beans produced last year in bean bread products. Gyeongju Hwangnam Bakery consumes around 300 tons of domestic beans annually, establishing a stable consumption structure for domestic beans. This year, as the demonstration project enters its third year, production zones will be created in Yeoncheon County, Gyeonggi Province, Yeongwol County, Gangwon Province, and Gongju City, Chungnam Province, with an area of 10 hectares each. This will expand the bean raw material production zones to 8 regions nationwide, and high-quality beans such as 'Ara-ri', 'Hongda', and 'Hongmiin' will be cultivated. The National Institute of Crop Science is supporting the field with harvesting equipment and raw material processing machines to help ensure the stable production of high-quality beans.
