They say Argentina is a young country, but its first business entity, the Sociedad Rural Argentina (SRA), is beginning the celebration of its 160 years, to be commemorated in 2026. All that history, with its good and bad, was shared by Nicolás Pino, the president of the entity, at a cocktail that brought together the most prominent figures of national politics, with several governors present and half of the national cabinet. And yet, little was achieved for agriculture by the presence of so many politicians. It was inevitable to highlight being the business organization that laid the foundations of this battered republic.
