The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation has reported that the country's grain reserves are critically low at 10 million tons, which would only last 1.5 months based on annual consumption. In response, the Ministry of Agriculture is considering introducing a temporary ban on grain exports if the reserves fall below the critical level. However, the Ministry also assures that Russia has enough stocks to maintain food security due to the large carryover from the previous year and a strong harvest in 2023.
