The Sectoral Conference agrees to distribute more than €46.8 million for the promotion of wine in third countries

The Sectoral Conference on Agriculture and Rural Development agreed on Tuesday, February 18, the distribution of more than 46.8 million euros among the autonomous communities for wine promotion programs in third-country markets for 2026. The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, chaired the conference that was held by videoconference with the regional councilors of the sector. With a global budget for the promotion of wine of 55.59 million euros, the applications finally presented by the communities amount to a total of 46.8 million. For this reason, Planas proposed to the councilors to raise the subsidy to the maximum 50% allowed for the 657 programs presented by the autonomous communities, which have shown their agreement with this proposal.
