In 2022, Ukrainian farmers saw an increase in soybean harvest, producing 3.74 million tons from 99.6% of the planned area, up by 250 thousand tons from the previous year. This increase is attributed to an increase in sowing area despite military aggression, rising from 1.3 million hectares in 2021 to 1.5 million hectares in 2022. However, the average yield per hectare decreased from 26.4 to 24.3 tons due to unfavorable weather and improper technology use. For 2023, projections indicate a further increase in soybean sowing area to 1.841 million hectares, with harvest expectations at 3.9 million tons.
