The state support program for Georgian hazelnut producers will continue in 2024

According to the decision of the Georgian government, in 2024, farmers growing hazelnuts will receive financial support from the budget totaling 29 million lari, reports the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia. The Hazelnut Promotion Program provides subsidies for the cost of agrochemicals and pesticides needed to care for the nuts. The financing program applies to farmers who own walnut orchards with an area of at least 0.2 hectares and no more than 3 hectares. Financing will be 500 GEL per hectare.
