Russia's sowing campaign is nearing completion, with 49.9 million hectares already sown, representing 90% of the planned area. The total sown area for the year spans 84.5 million hectares, an increase of 300 thousand hectares. Despite some crop damage due to return frosts, particularly in the South and the Lugansk People's Republic, which has led to a decline in apple production and necessitated a federal emergency regime, agricultural insurance and supplies from partner countries are in place to mitigate the impact. The Ministry of Agriculture anticipates stable production numbers for sugar beets, potatoes, and vegetables, and expects feed crop harvests to meet livestock farmers' needs, supporting industry growth and food security.
