The United States admits the entry of Spanish pork from areas free of plague.

The United States has accepted the entry of Spanish pork products if they come from areas free of African Swine Fever (ASF), which means allowing regionalization except for pork intestines whose import remains suspended from all of Spain. In the latest informative note from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food published this Friday, it is reported that the United States recognizes the regionalization established by the European Union (EU). The United States buys pork products from Spain worth close to 100 million euros a year, according to data collected by Foreign Trade. The document also informed that Japan allows the import of packaged pork products on or before October 29. More than a hundred export health certificates from about 40 countries remain blocked.
