The National Mango Board has reported a significant 9% increase in mango shipments to the US for the week ending April 30, with a total of 2,532,312 boxes. This growth is primarily attributed to exports from Mexico, Guatemala, and Nicaragua, with Mexico leading the pack. The main varieties shipped were Tommy Atkins and Ataulfo/Honey. While Mexico and Guatemala saw increases in their shipments by 4% and 84% respectively, Nicaragua's shipments dropped by 42%. Looking ahead, the forecast for weeks 14 to 19 suggests a modest 1% increase in shipments compared to the same period last year.
