Vietnam's agricultural, forestry, and fishery exports reached a high of over 4.5 billion USD in October 2022, marking a 13.5% increase from the previous month, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The total export turnover for the first 10 months of 2022 amounted to 44.9 billion USD, showing a 14.1% increase from the same period in 2021. The US, China, and Japan were the top buyers.
Notably, seafood exports have seen significant growth, with a target of 10 billion USD likely to be reached by the end of November, a 34% increase compared to the previous year. Other exports like rice and coffee are also expected to surpass their targets, with rice consumption capacity reaching 3.5 billion USD and coffee exports projected to hit 3.8 billion USD by the end of 2022.
