The Valencian Regional Government has assumed the representation and coordination of the autonomous communities in the EU Agriculture Council during the first semester of 2026 and will liaise with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA). The Minister of Agriculture, Water, Livestock and Fisheries, Miguel Barrachina, has assured that it is a decisive moment for the policies that affect the sector, so they will strengthen the presence in Brussels in order to participate more actively in the debates, anticipate decisions that may influence the field and more effectively defend the interests of farmers and livestock farmers.
