The Krasnoyarsk Territory in Russia is set to increase its rapeseed cultivation area by 8.8%, reaching 252 thousand hectares in 2023. This announcement was made by Ilya Vasilyev, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Trade of the Territory. The total sown area for industrial crops is planned at 263,000 hectares, marking a 12,000 hectare increase from last year. In 2022, the region led Russia in rapeseed harvest, producing 426.5 thousand tons, which is approximately 11% of Russia's total production. The rapeseed is exported to China and Belarus.
