The volume of rapeseed acreage in Russia's Krasnoyarsk territory will grow by almost 10% in 2023

The area under rapeseed in the Krasnoyarsk Territory in 2023 will be increased by 8.8% and will reach 252 thousand hectares. Ilya Vasilyev, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Trade of the Territory, announced this on Thursday at a regional meeting on preparing farmers for the sowing season. "In 2023, the sowing of industrial crops in the Krasnoyarsk Territory is planned on an area of 263,000 hectares. Of this volume, rapeseed is planned to be sown on 252,000 hectares. This is 8.8% more than in 2022," Vasilyev said. According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, the projected sown area of agricultural crops of all categories in the region in 2023 will be more than 1.5 million hectares, which is 12 thousand hectares more than last year.
