The weather with surprises until mid-February

The month will begin with cloudy weather and precipitation, mostly in the form of snow. In most areas, it will be intense and significant in quantity. In the evening and overnight into Monday, heavy snowfall in Northeastern Bulgaria. A snow cover will form, reaching 15-20 cm in Southern Bulgaria and 10-15 cm in Northern Bulgaria, reports bTV. A moderate, temporarily strong northeast wind will blow in Eastern Bulgaria, bringing cold air. There will be snow drifts and wind gusts. Temperatures will remain almost constant day and night, mostly between minus 3 and 2 degrees. On Monday morning, it will still be windy and snowing in the eastern regions, but by noon, the precipitation will stop everywhere. It will remain mostly cloudy, with the cold weather continuing. Daytime temperatures in Northern Bulgaria will range from minus 8 to minus 5, in Southern Bulgaria between minus 4 and 1, and in the far southwestern regions 5-6. Later in the day, the cloud cover will break up and decrease from the west, and overnight into Tuesday, the wind will weaken everywhere.
