Argus Agritel predicts that Romania will have a wheat harvest of 10.09 to 11.15 million tonnes in the 2024/2025 season, exceeding 10 million tonnes for the majority of the past eight years. The expansion of planted areas will help compensate for less favorable yield forecasts. Farmers in Romania are planning to plant more winter crops, including wheat and barley, to mitigate the negative effects of drought in the spring and summer.
