The Union of Independent Livestock Farmers (UGI) in Spain has expressed concern over the decreasing price of goat milk, which is negatively impacting the profitability of goat farms. The UGI blames this on dairy companies importing cheaper raw materials from other EU countries, which not only reduces the quality of the product but also affects the production of national goat milk. This has created a vicious cycle leading to reduced milk production and farmers abandoning the activity.
