ASAJA-Cádiz is expressing concern over the significant decrease in the price of goat milk in the Sierra de Cádiz region, a situation also impacting producers in Malaga. The association attributes this drop to unfathomable reasons, especially given the reduced dairy production and the rising costs of cheese, the primary product of goat milk. The price of the milk grade has fallen by 5 cents, reaching 0.12 cents per liter, a figure far lower than the previous around one euro. This situation is further straining an already challenging financial situation for livestock farmers, who face rising costs and a dwindling goat herd. ASAJA-Cádiz is calling for greater understanding and support for these farmers, highlighting their crucial role in the socioeconomic and environmental aspects of the Sierra de Grazalema National Park.
