The director general of the OMSA visited Argentina and met with the public and private sectors at the offices of the Institute for the Promotion of Argentine Vaccinated Meat (IPCVA). During the meeting, the international body highlighted the importance of the health policies implemented by SENASA, emphasized the effectiveness of the national system for fighting foot-and-mouth disease, and pointed out that, in case the sanitary status of Argentina is questioned, the country can request the support of OMSA to represent it in international negotiation instances.
