(Agraria.pe) With more than one million hectares in active concessions and over 15 thousand people dedicated to this activity, the chestnut not only generates employment and income, but also protects the forest and contributes to the fight against climate change. Today, its exports exceed US$ 35 million annually, consolidating it as a symbol of the productive potential of the Amazon. In this context, the Roadmap for the Amazon Chestnut to 2030 was presented, a document that seeks a sustainable, inclusive, and competitive transformation of the sector.
