In October, China saw a decrease in the import of fresh beef, with 224 thousand tons entering the country, which is 12% less than the previous year and 21 thousand tons less than the previous month. This marks the third consecutive monthly decrease since the record high of 295 thousand tons in July. The average import value also continues to decline, with October averaging US$ 4,764 per ton, a 2.1% decrease from the previous month and a significant 34% decrease from July 2022.
