The "Quince Lokum" project, which was initiated in 2007 with R&D studies by Osmaneli Municipality and the Osmaneli Women's Initiative Production and Operation Cooperative in collaboration to transform the locally grown quince into a value-added product, contributes to the district's economy. Starting with 100 packs of 400 grams each, production has increased to 10,000 packs per day. Quince harvest in the district, which was 5,000 tons in 2007, has reached 8,000 tons annually thanks to lokum.
