Kazakhstan has imposed restrictions on the import and transit of cattle, small ruminants, and other animals susceptible to bluetongue disease from Poland. The restrictions are similar to those already in place by Ukraine, Russia, China, and Belarus. The disease, while affecting animals, does not pose a threat to humans. There are no restrictions on imports of meat and meat products, milk, hides, or wool from Poland.
