On May 27, after passing quarantine by the Lianjiang Customs under the Zhanjiang Customs, a batch of 17.9 tons of longan successfully loaded onto vehicles and embarked on its overseas journey, marking the official start of longan exports from Zhanjiang this year.
To help more local specialties go abroad, the Lianjiang Customs guided enterprises to improve their quality and safety management systems, enhancing pest control and self-inspection capabilities. At the same time, they actively collected and analyzed foreign market entry regulations and technical standards, providing enterprises with precise policy support to fully back special agricultural products entering the international market. Given the characteristics of longans being difficult to store and having a short shelf life, the customs cleared a local inspection "green channel," promoted agricultural product batch inspection reforms, and adopted facilitative measures such as priority inspection, advance booking for customs clearance, and "cloud issuance" to tighten the operation chain and provide round-the-clock support for longan exports.
