The Almaty region in Kazakhstan is planning to complete its field work on time despite a delayed spring. The sown area has increased to 971 thousand hectares, with an expansion in corn, sugar beet, and fodder crops. The ontustik agro-park is promoting the No-Till technology to prevent soil erosion and retain moisture. Peasant farms have received over 1,240 units of modern equipment to aid in agriculture. The region also plans to restore 138 thousand hectares of irrigated land in coming years to support the growth of crops like sugar beets, soybeans, wheat, corn, and other agricultural crops.
