Three new varieties receive breeder certificates for their high genetic quality in Peru

The National Institute of Agrarian Innovation (INIA) has received from the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property (Indecopi) the breeder's certificates (CO) of three varieties of crops with high productive yield and genetic quality, which will allow the increase of the production and productivity of the small producers of the highlands of Peru. These certificates will allow the protection of plant varieties generated through their registration in the National Registry of Protected Plant Varieties (RNVVP) of Indecopi, which will help promote the development of new technological alternatives for the benefit of small producers, family and regional agriculture. With this, INIA seeks to ensure that the scientific knowledge and technologies generated by its researchers and collaborators are adequately transferred for use and benefit of the members of the National System of Agrarian Innovation (SNIA) and society in general.
