The National Institute of Agrarian Innovation (INIA) in Peru has received breeder's certificates for three new crop varieties, including the high-yield, high-quality potato "INIA 328-KULLI", corn variety "622 - MISKI JANK'A", and forage oat "908 – MELLICERA". These certificates, issued by the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property (Indecopi), will protect these plant varieties and promote the development of new technological alternatives for small and medium producers in Peru. These varieties, with a total of 45 protected by INIA, are expected to increase production and productivity while combating pests and climate change effects.
