The Tianjin Municipal Agriculture and Rural Affairs Commission has introduced new regulations, "Management Measures for the Fixed-point Slaughtering of Cattle and Sheep in Tianjin", to ensure food safety from farm to table. The regulations, which include 25 policies, mandate fixed-point slaughtering and centralized quarantine of cattle and sheep, with strict supervision and management. Slaughterhouses are required to meet certain conditions, including environmental protection and animal epidemic prevention. They must maintain records and report to local authorities, and products must be inspected for quality and safety. Violations will be punished, and the regulations will come into effect on the date of issuance.
