In October 2024, Peruvian tomato exports saw a significant decrease in both volume and value due to a drop in international demand. The exports totaled 1,951 tons, a 23% decrease in volume, and $2.03 million, a 49% decrease in value. The average price per kilogram also decreased by 33%. The majority of the exports, 80.8%, were in the form of paste, and the main destinations for these exports were Colombia, Chile, and Ecuador. Icatom S.A. was the leading exporter, followed by Agrícola Don Ángel S.A.C., and the main terminals used for these exports were DP World, APM Terminals, and Jorge Chávez International Airport.
