In 2021, Ukraine's processing plants saw a 9% decrease in soybean oil production, producing 224.3 thousand tons compared to 246.5 thousand tons in 2020. This decline was due to limited resources of soybeans and rapeseed, leading to a 19.3% and 19.6% decrease in soybean oil and meal production, respectively, and a 27% decrease in rapeseed oil production. Despite importing 20,000 tons of soybeans, domestic capacity issues persisted. The top ten soybean oil producers in Ukraine accounted for approximately 80% of the total production.
