Peru is emerging as a significant global supplier of fruits and vegetables, with agro-exports expected to surpass US$ 11,500 million by the end of 2023. Key contributors to this growth are grapes, blueberries, and avocados, with grapes leading at US$ 1,745 million and blueberries at US$ 1,676 million. Avocado exports alone reached US$ 963 million, marking a 7.6% increase from the previous year. The main export markets include the United States, the European Union, and Asian countries, with the EU being the largest buyer of Peruvian avocados. This success is driven by the efforts of agricultural producers, exporters, and state support, despite challenging conditions.
