Brazil: Total beef exports in July approach 300,000 tonnes in a single month for the first time in history

Total beef exports (processed meats + fresh meat) approached 300,000 tons, growing 42% in July, reaching 291,075 tons and setting a new record in the history of Brazilian product movement. The previous record was a movement of 282,514 tons in December 2023. Average prices, however, remain lower than those practiced in the same month last year: in July 2023 they were US$ 4,265 and, this year, US$ 4,007 (-6%). Export revenue, in turn, increased by 33%. In 2023, it was US$ 876.9 million and in July 2024 it reached US$ 1.166 billion. The information comes from the Brazilian Association of Meatpacking Plants (ABRAFRIGO), which compiled data provided by the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (SECEX) of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC).
