Tra fish exports increase in the first half of the year but face many challenges in the upcoming period

According to VASEP, the frozen fillet product group HS0304 continues to play a key role, accounting for over 80% of total export value, with 10% growth. However, the highlight is the deep-processed product group under HS16 code, with exports reaching 24 million USD by June 15, 2025 – a 59% increase despite only representing 2.6% of Vietnam's tra fish export value to markets. This indicates that market demand for high-processing value products is rapidly increasing, and businesses have started responding by expanding their product portfolios.
