Mr. Jirawut Suwannach, Deputy Director of the Internal Trade Department, revealed that the recommended price for farm-gate eggs from the egg-laying chicken cooperative network has been reduced from the previous level of 3.60 baht per egg, which held steady since mid-December 2025, to 3.40 baht per egg on January 17, 2026, and further reduced to 3.20 baht per egg on January 22, 2026. Meanwhile, the average retail price of eggs, size 3, across the country is 3.83 baht per egg, down from 3.86 baht per egg in the previous month. In December 2025, the average was 3.86 baht per egg, reflecting the declining trend in egg prices both at the farm gate and in retail.
