Transbaikalia's 2023 sowing campaign faced potential failure due to issues at the Komsomolets enterprise, resulting in a decrease in sown area compared to 2022. A total of 169 thousand hectares were sown, marking 87% of the previous year's level. Despite the overall decline, there was an increase in the sowing of fodder, buckwheat, sunflower, barley, soybeans, peas, and triticale. Conversely, the sowing of flax, oats, rapeseed, and wheat saw a decrease.
