Vietnam has experienced a significant surge in tuna exports, with a 86% increase in August 2022 compared to the same period in 2021, reaching a value of nearly 92 million USD. The total tuna export turnover for the first eight months of 2022 was nearly 730 million USD, marking a 55% increase over the same period in 2021. The export proportion of fresh, frozen, and dried tuna products is increasing, while processed tuna products are decreasing in proportion. The main markets for Vietnam's tuna exports include the US, EU, Canada, Japan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, and Russia. The growth rate of tuna exports is expected to continue but may slow down in the second half of 2022.
