The article highlights the significant growth in tea exports from the Eastern Black Sea Region, with a 23% increase in volume and 33% increase in value compared to the previous year, totaling 1.28 million kilograms in the first quarter. The majority of these exports, accounting for 66% in volume and 55% in value, were made from Rize, the region's capital. The exports were distributed to 95 countries, with the European Union being the primary market, and Belgium, Germany, and the United States being the top destinations. The increase in tea exports is attributed to the high rate of increase in both the variety and quantity of tea, the tourism activity in the Eastern Black Sea region, and the contributions of national brand ÇAYKUR and private manufacturing companies.
