Turkey's coffee goes to 144 countries

The Turkish Statistical Institute has reported a notable increase in the country's coffee exports and imports from 2016 to 2020. Exports saw a significant rise, reaching $65.1 million in five years, with the top buyers being Saudi Arabia, TRNC, Netherlands, USA, and Iraq, although this order shifted over the years. Russia emerged as a top buyer in 2020. On the other hand, imports increased by 44% to $891.3 million, with Brazil as the primary supplier. The period from January to October this year saw the USA, Belarus, Netherlands, Russia, and the TRNC as the leading countries for coffee export, while Brazil, the Netherlands, Italy, Colombia, and Germany were the main sources of imported coffee for Turkey.
