In 2022, Turkey saw a significant increase in its agricultural production, with grain products increasing by 21.3% to 38.7 million tons, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Fruit production also saw a increase of 7.7% to around 26.8 million tons, while vegetable production decreased by 0.5% to approximately 31.6 million tons. Specifically, wheat production increased by 11.9% to 19.8 million tons, corn production increased by 25.9% to 8.5 million tons, and barley production increased by 47.8% to 8.5 million tons. Additionally, rye and oat production also saw substantial increases of 36.5% and 32.2% respectively.
