Turkish Salmon Exports Target 1 Billion Dollars: Record Increase from the Sector!

Turkey Fishery and Animal Products Exporters Associations Sector Board Chairman Sinan Kızıltan reported that harvests of Turkish salmon were completed in July and they anticipate selling the entire harvest fresh and frozen by the end of the year. Kızıltan stated that Turkish salmon exports will exceed 500 million dollars by the end of 2025 and that Turkey will generate over 1 billion dollars in Turkish salmon revenue by 2035 at the latest. According to the Aegean Fishery and Animal Products Exporters Association's January-June 2025 data, Turkey's fishery exports increased by 4% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 974 million dollars.
