Türkiye is the main supplier of tomatoes to Georgia

In January-July 2024, tomato imports to Georgia increased by 50%. According to Gruzstat, over $8.06 million worth of tomatoes were imported in the first seven months of last year, while over $12.1 million worth of tomatoes were imported in the same period this year. As reported by EastFruit, last year, imports of 1 kg cost the country an average of 42 cents, while this year the import price has increased to 60 cents.
