Peru has identified over a dozen agro-export products with high growth potential, following a surge of over 100% in shipments of these products between 2007 and 2022. These include onions, pomegranates, ginger, tangerines, pineapples, limes, and garlic. The country also plans to export golden gooseberries and turmeric to the United States for the first time in 2023, targeting the Latino community with promotional efforts. The National Export Strategic Plan for 2025 and the National Competitiveness and Productivity Plan are being implemented to boost the agro-export sector.
