Two dead, 4,000 affected by floods in Colombia

CASANARE: At least two people died and 4,000 were affected by floods in the Department of Casanare, Colombia. According to the local government on Tuesday, heavy rain flooded vast areas of the savanna under water, destroying crops and farmland. Authorities and officials had to wade through flooded farmland on Monday to bring aid to displaced families. It follows the flood situation which caused roads and fields to be flooded. Several people claimed that their crops, including bananas, papayas, and mangosteen were destroyed after heavy rains hit the northern region.
