Şemsi Bayraktar, Chairman of the Union of Chambers of Agriculture of Turkey (TZOB), highlighted significant price fluctuations for agricultural products in August. Potatoes saw the largest price drop for producers at 29.8%, followed by lemons, green onions, and onions. Raisins experienced the highest price increase for producers at 83.3%. In the market, cucumbers had the highest price rise at 39.4%, while dried figs saw the largest decrease at 24.4%. The price disparity between producers and markets was most notable in lemons at 370.4%. Additionally, Bayraktar mentioned an anticipated 10% increase in the dried onion planting area compared to the previous year.
