UK export capacity remains limited due to declining domestic production, with October exports totaling 27,140 tonnes, a decrease of 1,320 tonnes from the previous year, particularly impacting offal exports to China and key EU trading partners. However, export volumes increased from September, with a 15% growth in volumes to China. On the other hand, imports of pig meat for October increased, with total fresh/frozen pork imports growing by 1,865 tonnes, bacon imports by nearly 1,200 tonnes, and sausages by 1,100 tonnes, mostly from the EU where prices remain competitive.
