Ukraine becomes a serious competitor in the chicken meat market

Chicken meat production in Ukraine in 2026 is expected to amount to 1.44 million tons, which is 30 thousand tons more than the forecast for the current year and 50 thousand tons higher than the figure for 2024, according to a report by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Experts estimate in their forecast that chicken meat exports will increase to 490 thousand tons next year, up from 470 thousand tons in 2025. USDA data indicate that last year's exports of this type of meat amounted to 463 thousand tons.
