Ukraine has exported over 90 thousand tons of sugar in the 2024/2025 marketing year, with the majority going to the Middle East and North Africa, but also finding new markets in Indonesia and Sri Lanka. Due to logistical challenges, sugar is currently being delivered to the port of Constanza before being shipped to its final destination. The Ministry of Economy is considering the possibility of duty-free trade with European countries like Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, and Switzerland.
