In 2020, Ukraine saw a significant increase in sausage imports, with volumes doubling from the previous year and 12 times more than five years earlier, reaching 4.7 thousand tons. The majority of these imports were from Europe, with Poland being the leading supplier in terms of volume and Spain in terms of value. Despite this, imported sausages only accounted for 1.4% of the total market. Meanwhile, Ukraine's sausage exports also grew, with Nigeria being the main buyer.
