Between January and June 2020, Russia experienced a significant shift in its agricultural trade dynamics. Oil exports saw a dramatic decrease of 42.6% compared to the same period in 2019, generating $26.7 million. On the other hand, the country's butter imports experienced a notable increase, with volumes reaching 7,000 tons – a 12.8-fold increase from the previous year. The total value of these imports amounted to $26.4 million, marking a 7.7-time increase from 2019. The dominant countries exporting oil to Russia during this period were Poland, the Netherlands, and Germany, while Azerbaijan, Moldova, and Georgia emerged as the primary importers of Russian butter.
