Ukraine has set a record for the export of rapeseed meal to China: shipments increased by 70%

Ukraine has set a historic record for the export of rapeseed meal to China in the first half of the 2025/26 marketing year. This is reported by APK-Inform. Deliveries to China reached 155 thousand tons, allowing the PRC to become the leading importer of Ukrainian rapeseed meal. The total export of rapeseed meal from Ukraine for the period from July to December of this season amounted to about 340 thousand tons, which is 70% more compared to the same period last year. Domestic processing of rapeseed has also increased and stands at 800 thousand tons. However, despite the growth in exports to China, imports of Ukrainian meal to the European Union fell by 2.4 times, from 171 thousand to 71 thousand tons. This occurred against the backdrop of a high harvest in the EU and an increase in rapeseed meal supplies from Canada, which supplied over 436 thousand tons to the EU.
