The European Commission has lifted the ban on the export of apple and plum seedling from Ukraine, which was in place since December 2019. Exporters will now have to adhere to the phytosanitary requirements outlined in a special appendix to the regulation. This decision was made after a phytosanitary risk analysis by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) following a technical file provided by Ukraine. Exporters will need to ensure that the cultivation locations are free of organisms harmful to the EU quarantine.
