In terms of grain production volumes, Ukraine already ranks second among European Union countries today—after France (63.1 million tons), ahead of Germany (45.2 million tons) and Poland (36.5 million tons). At the same time, Ukraine is the undisputed leader in corn production among the EU: 23.5 million tons were harvested in 2025, while the total production volume of this crop in the EU stands at 57 million tons. Regarding sunflower production, Ukraine also holds the lead with 9 million tons against 8.5 million tons in all EU countries combined. Despite the full-scale war and difficult weather conditions, farmers harvested 57.6 million tons of grains and 17.3 million tons of oilseed crops.
